A Quick UFO News Roundup
UFO news keeps piling up, but I have an important project to complete while the media freak out over flying saucers again.
As you may have noticed, it’s been a busy week in the world of UFOs. NBC’s Peacock streaming service announced that Ancient Aliens fangirl and Steven Greer stan Demi Lovato would have her own UFO reality show. Former Sen. Harry Reid walked back his recent New Yorker comments in the Las Vegas Sun, stating point-blank that he is not aware of any UFO debris in the possession of Lockheed or any government agency and asserting that he never thought there was any. Current Sen. Marco Rubio made a bunch of noises about demanding UFO transparency and arranging to appear in a 60 Minutes story this Sunday piggybacking on the April 30 New Yorker article. As I predicted, the eruption of UFOs into elite media has justified still more media coverage, all without any new facts.
You may also have noticed that I have not posted anything this week. That’s because I have an exciting announcement. A major magazine has commissioned an article from me, and unlike last time, I’m going to keep my mouth shut about the topic and my research until it’s filed. Once it’s filed and there is a publication date, I will share more details.
I won’t be posting for a little while so I can devote my energy to writing my article. In the meantime, let me leave you with this discovery I made researching the new book by Jacques Vallée, one promoted by Christopher Mellon and the current circle of Bigelow-adjacent UFO proponents. According to Vallée himself, the idea promoted by the Bigelow group that UFOs come from other dimensions originally came from Jacques Bergier, the co-author of Morning of the Magicians. As Vallée writes in Forbidden Science:
In the seventies, French author Jacques Bergier, a keen observer of technological and cultural trends, once told me that we must revise the old notion of a single “universe.” Perhaps the main lesson to be drawn from UFO sightings, he said, was that we are living instead in what he called a “Multiverse” with many more dimensions than we had suspected. He urged me to think about the numerous ways in which a conscious control system could operate in such a manifold.
Vallée embraced this idea wholesale: “My own speculation is that UFOs operate in a multi-dimensional reality of which spacetime is a subset,” adding that UFOs might come from “in a parallel universe.”
The amazing thing about this is that Bergier became interested in such ideas from H. P. Lovecraft, whose fiction was a major influence on him in the years when he developed his esoteric philosophies in Morning of the Magicians. There is more than a little reflection of “Dreams in the Witch-House” and “Through the Gates of the Silver Key” in these ideas. It is disturbing that Lovecraft’s shadow hovers over our current UFO believers, even after all this time.
Hi Jason,Nice article. I do not know if youve ever seen a "UFO"?,let alone stop one and then ask it's inhabitants "Hey Dude wow you guys really are small and Cabbage looking but could you quickly tell me what/which Dimension your from!
Now in March 1996 i was lucky enough to see with my own eyes(very important)and also my Boss who was twice my age at the time two Aluminium looking silver Balls slowly and silently flew past our rented Holiday Villa in south spain and then directly over the straights off Gibralter(not a cloud in the sky too)they both were flying side by side as though they were teathered together,as it seemed so when over the Sea they suddenly"catapulted"forwards, went from a Glide to a Slingshott straight out into Atlantic heading for i guess next stop roughly Eastern seaboard USA and that was at such a speed i couldnt begin to fathom out for you.Never saw anything in the press or on spanish tv,id like to know though was 1996 a busy year for UFO activity or what?.Regards Antony.
