So, did his Forteana obsession make it into that new book you are reviewing?

In 1991 I had a consultation with Hawaiian native, psychic medium Arthur Pacheco - in Studio City CA - who said: “There’s a man standing behind you in a three piece suit with a gold chain and a watch tucked into his vest pocket. You don’t know him - but knows someone you know of: James Dean. He sponsored James Dean.”

{A visiting friend and guest had spontaneously given me a post card of James Dean a week earlier.}

Arthur continued: “He’s telling me that in the distant future you will be structuring major motion picture contracts: and that he wishes to avail his services to you, in that contract structuring regard. In the distant future.”

Later that year my late stepbrother Matthew brought me to see psychic to the stars, the late Kenney Kingston at the Burbank Bowl community room. Kenny conducted psychometry on my ring and stated, eventually: “You’re going to write the sequel to Sunset Boulevard!” Which I am writing presently.

I have written three screenplays in total thus far - one has won a high profile competition and has now been optioned for a $5M production budget. The second has been optioned for a $10M production budget and the third has been optioned for a $5M production budget.

I had not known the appearance or name of this visionary man Rogers Brackett until tonight. I am honored to know of him, and that he has chosen to guide me from spirit.

Thank you kindly,

Adrian

Thanks for pointing out that Dean’s love of the book, The Little Prince, had a darker side. Gide, it has been stated, was a pedophile and others early on in Dean’s circle. Your excellent research seems to point to that Jimmy was the exploited not the exploiter. This exploitation was on many levels including sexually, financially, for publicity and any other reasons, selfish people felt the need to use him when he was alive and even in his death. His agent business files show this. So sad

Jason, Dean almost gave up acting right before Rebel was starting to shoot. He disappeared and Warner Brothers was getting ready to suspend him. At the time, he spoke to good friend, Stewart Stern on the phone saying he was not coming back. Stern said something was bothering him but he did not tell him what. Do you think it was Brackett lawsuit which had been filed at that time and Dean's fear of being exposed as a homosexual?

Sorry someone who blackmails another is not a good person. Dean lived with him to further his career. Brackett did help him but also pimped him to his gay circle. Dean provided him with sexual favors in return for Brackett helping him with his career. Still Brackett shook Dean down for money but threatening to expose him as a homosexual which was career suicide esp in the 50s.

Jason--am looking forward to your book. You have done an astounding research job. But don't

believe what people say about Rogers. He read an article I did on William Buckley--who had

a similar wry view on life--and gave me exclusive interview on JD. He was total class act.

Thanks, Ron. I think I did a good job of balancing perspectives and making clear that the divergent reviews were the result of clashing cultural values, particularly surrounding his brand of cosmopolitan gay culture.
