Real people's lives are too complicated for Zak Bagans to understand. I've no doubt he won't be at all interested in the nuance of Dean's life (and what happened with the interpretations after he died). Bagans is a ghoul.
Jason, sadly, you are getting to the point of suggesting that nothing can be enjoyed because at some point something dark was connected to the situation.
Don't get me wrong, I love the research and learning new things. But I think we can have a middle ground where we can acknowledge the warts and still enjoy the story. Of course, if a story is nothing but warts I agree we should call it out for what it is.
